Heritage Projects

As a long-established traditional blacksmiths, we are uniquely positioned to produce authentic wrought iron works.

We have worked closely with many heritage groups, including English Heritage and CADW, architects and cathedrals to make fixtures, fittings and repairs in keeping with their building or restoration project.

For the recently restored Staircase House, a stunning 17th Century merchant's house in Stockport's historic market place, our expertise was called upon to produce many of the fixtures and fittings using the appropriate materials and techniques. Drawing on our extensive knowledge of metalwork and blacksmithing techniques through the generations we were able to accurately reproduce the necessary handforged items, in keeping with the Grade 2* Listed Building status.

Because we use traditional handforging and have such detailed knowledge of metalwork passed down through the generations, we are proud to produce items to meet specific Listed Building requirements.
